Angelbots Transform!

Before I get started I wanted to show a video I found that has a very very nice look at the map. I don’t think that was the intention of the video, but it shows the maps off amazingly. Very High Quality.

So I mentioned how customizable AION was before. There are indeed a whole bunch of different looks available for your character. They also seem to be more distinctive than say… Age of Conan. Sure there were a lot of options in Age of Conan, but they were all pretty similar. Age of Conan had 4-6 hair color options. Blond, Brown, Black, Black and Black. Hot.

You know, if Age of Conan, had all of the same gameplay and everything, but it had Aion’s graphics, I’d probably wouldn’t have canceled my account. I hate playing through a game where I can’t stand looking at my character. I was so happy when EQ2 added that ability to wear a second set of armor purely for aesthetics. They understood what I wanted out of the game. To kick ass and look good at the same time.

Luckily, AION delivers. In a big way.

In the videos I’m going to put up, you can see the color choices that are available. Any color you want. You get a color chooser like in Photoshop. Wonderful.

It seems like if you like the style of AION, then you’ll be able to create a character that you enjoy. The options are there.

Some have said the character creator has gone too far in how much it allows you to do. I disagree. If someone wants to look like a freak, that is their choice. And I’m glad they have the option to do so. However, someone who does not agree made this video. GIANT HEADS FOR EVERYBODY!!!

Love it.

Finally, I leave you with the highest quality video of them all. The one that turned me on to AION in the first place. The character creation video created by NCSoft. Enjoy.

Awesome effeminate men, hot chicks, excellent emotes

    Can I HAZ MOAR!

See, this sucks. I want this game NOW. I felt so close when I played Perfect World (which also has the full on customization of characters like this…almost makes me wonder if these games are connected in some way..)
The awesome looking characters and flight was great fun. But, overall Perfect World is so unplayable here in the US, as the servers are based in Malaysia, and the latency for skills sucks.
The grind is there though, and the visuals are awesome.
Ah well. Who knows…maybe this could be it..
I sure hope so with NCsoft behind it.
